BMA Privacy and Security Policy Statement

Brent Moore & Associates, Inc. (BMA) is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information collected during the course of our various projects and activities. We value your trust and believe our privacy practices protect your information and provide transparent guidelines for the use of and dealing with this information.

Policies

Our policies define personal information as facts about or related to individuals, beliefs, opinions or any information that can be used to identify, distinguish or contact a specific individual. We have standards and safeguards to ensure your personal information is not disclosed or shared more widely than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which is i t is intended and is not made available to any third party. We do NOT rent or sell lists of personal information or use personal information for solicitations. We DO, however, reserve the right to disclose personal information as required by law and when that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

Data Collection

When you choose to provide personal information (including names, addresses, credit card information) using BMA services, it is kept strictly private. (Should you use your home contact information as a business address and phone number, we consider that information is business information and therefore not subject to protection as personal information.) Access to personal information by members of the BMA team is on a need-to-know basis.

All attendee data we collect and maintain through our service on behalf of event organizers (or hosts) for event registration and/or payments is owned by the client. We have no rights to sell or use the information provided for any secondary communication unless authorized by our clients.

Our server logs, maintained by our Internet Service Provider and by BMA, collect information such as IP addresses, monitor which pages of our Sites were visited and the website from which visitors came to our Sites (i.e., whether from a link on another website, or from a search engine). This aggregated demographic data about our user base does not identify individual users or any of their personal information and is used for our own reports, to track trends and program usage and for marketing and customer satisfaction efforts.

Security Measures

We try to surpass generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information entrusted to us. We use password protocols and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology for ALL event management information and registration Web pages and to protect personal and other information we receive when a service is requested and/or paid for online. We regularly review our privacy practices for our various activities and routinely update our software to maximize protection of personal information.

Despite the measures we take, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. BMA does not guarantee, warrant or represent that the information you provide will be transmitted securely, or protected completely against interception, loss, misuse or alteration. BMA accepts no responsibility or liability for any damages that may result where information submitted by you, has not been securely transmitted, has been intercepted, lost, misused or altered.

Both our own and affiliated Web sites contain links to other websites. While we try to link only to other websites that share our standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of others. BMA has no control over other Web sites and is not responsible for their collection of personal information, their use of cookies or other tracking devices. It is important that you review their privacy policies before providing them with your personal information.

Consent & Compliance with Canadian Law

When providing BMA with your personal information, you are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy. Information that is submitted to BMA will be collected, processed, stored, disclosed and disposed of in accordance with applicable Canadian law and the Privacy Act (R.S., 1985, c. P-21) http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/P-21/index.html If you are a non-Canadian, you acknowledge and agree that we may collect and use your information, as discussed above, outside your resident jurisdiction. In addition, such information may be stored on servers located outside your resident jurisdiction. Canadian law may not provide the degree of protection for information that is available in other countries. By providing us with your information, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy, understand it, agree to its terms and consent to the transfer of such information outside your resident jurisdiction.

You may choose not to provide personal information; however in doing so, you may not be able to engage in certain transactions or activities offered through our offices or our Web site. Subject to certain legal restrictions and reasonable notice, you can withdraw your consent to the continued use or disclosure of personal information BMA has already collected from you at any time. Refusing or withdrawing your consent may result in BMA being unable to provide you with some requested services.
